KASSIA(Karnataka State Small industries Association)

Kassia is a premier voluntary state level non Govemment Institution of Small Scale Industrialists. It is a registered body under the Kamataka Societies Registration Act and is functioning on democratic lines with regular Annual General Body Meetings, election of Council Members and Office Bearers and adhering to the constitutional Byelaw and conventions.

National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development

The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) was established as an apex body for coordinating and overseeing the activities of various institutions/agencies engaged in Entrepreneurship Development particularly in the area of small industry and small business. NIESBUD was set up in 1983 by the then Ministry of Industry [now Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)], Government of India. The Institute which is registered as a Society under Societies Registration Act, 1860 (XXI of 1860), started functioning from 6th July, 1983.

The SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) scenario in India is bright as every year new Small Scale Industries are venturing to the path of success. The government of India is taking various measures to ensure that the SME segment in the country receives all the possible support to register enough growth potential and profit.

A lot of bodies/institutes and associations with public/private partnerships exist in the country, solely focusing on giving the SME segment in India a fillip. Some of such initiatives are briefly mentioned here.
