Introducing Innovative Education for Kids

Guneet Pandya is a powerhouse of imagination and a positive thinker, who believes in dreaming and achieving whatever she dreams. Right from executing to penning down her award winning ideas, Guneet has transformed day dreaming into a serious business. Taking up the onus of imparting imagination in many more lives, Guneet founded The Unreal Academy, a business that intends to make dreams come true.



Guneet calls Unreal Academy as “a place of unstructuring conventional learning”. Through this venture she aims to introduce the magic of innovation and imagination in children as well as adults.

The Concept

The Unreal Academy is a unique concept with tailor-made courses designed for various age groups, all keeping in mind their needs. We seek to reveal the hidden skills of individuals through interactive sessions, activities and games, thereby enhancing their creativity. Their activities (courses) are called burps (brilliant unreal rare programs).

“There are around 9 types of burps designed keeping in mind the holistic development. It includes imparting knowledge, stimulating imagination, plain experiences and bring creativity out of them, logical thinking, art, hobbies, reading, enhancing confidence, imaginative writing skills, creative and unique solutions of problems, freedom of expression” says Guneet.

There are burps right from kindergarten to senior citizens. The senior kindergarten is meant to give ‘senior children’ an opportunity to share their life with others. This is envisioned to help them create a surreal and imaginative autobiography.

Guneet says that the admission to her academy is through a screening process, which is made to ensure that the parents who enroll their children with them work in tandem with them to provide a perfect environment at home for learning.

The Starting and the Journey

Guneet had started doing ground works for her dream project from 2009. She started with small workshops, which became a hit and requests started pouring in for such workshops for grown-ups as well. “This is when the name struck us, the work we did, the concept, the popularity it gained in such a small time span, all this could be summed up in one single word “Unreal,” explains Guneet.

Guneet has invested around Rs 3.5 crores so far. They witness an encouraging response from Gurgaon. She says that the demography of her city- Gurgaon is ripe for such a launch. A 3 three month course would cost Rs 16000+. However she says its too early to comment on the Return on Investment.


“Parents still think of studies as the only medium of education whereas innovative learning is emerging in other parts of the world” she continues. This possesses a challenge for Guneet and her enterprise. “To make parents understand is the biggest challenge”.

The curriculum has been constantly under the phase of development and improvement, which is a real painstaking process. The curriculum is designed on insights of parents and children and then it undergoes a strict research and development process. After all the grilling process, one true idea emerges and then it is followed through the codes.

Strategies and Future Plans

“The Unreal Academy works on a one on one communication. We follow a methodology of doing one day workshops where children and parents get a taste of what we do and a glimpse of how effective it is. Our website and online promotions are other mediums of marketing” says Guneet.

The academy has around 20 functional people and a special staff who works with them on required basis. Guneet plans to open a flagship academy in Gurgaon first and a couple of more in 3-4 years time. Plans are also there to step into foreign markets.

Guneet’s imaginative creations and diligence have been admired and also fetched her many accolades. Among her many achievements is the top rank on the Luerzer’s archive. She was awarded with the Cannes Gold award for graphic design, silver and bronze medal for One Show Design, New York Festivals, Graphis Advertising Annual and the ABBY Gold award at the Goa ad Fest.

Guneet has conducted innovative career workshops like Smart Knowledge Workshop for the 18-24 year age group and ‘Love Blossoms Here’ teacher’s orientation workshop for India’s top pre-school brand besides seminars and research for the K12 category. As founder of “Noah’s Ark & Out of the Box” she has been instrumental in launching over 80 brands & product campaigns for global clients, from Automobiles, Education, FMCG, Hospitality to Tourism, offering her an enriching cross disciplinary experience in human mind mapping and its understanding. With all this experience to back her up, Guneet envisions turning the world into a canvas of dreams fulfilled and imaginations commemorated.
