Microsoft crossed 2000 mark as Dynamics Customers in India

Microsoft has achieved 2000 plus customers in India for its Dynamics solutions in a time frame of less than five years across various industry sectors such as SMEs as well as enterprise segments.

The Dynamics ERP and CRM solutions are helping its customers enhance their business operations, lower total cost of ownership and get a single view of their operations.

“This achievement is a result of our ability to offer a line of simple and easy-to-use Microsoft Dynamics range of solutions that shows clear business ROI and integrates easily with existing technologies that customers are familiar with or already have installed,” said Subhomoy Sengupta, group director – Microsoft Business Solutions.

Video surveillance as a service for SMEs

Tulip Telecom - an enterprise data connectivity provider, has tied-up with IT firm MindTree and data storage company Iomega to offer video surveillance services to SMEs. The services will be based on Iomega's storage devices, while MindTree will provide the video management software. The solutions will be rolled out by Tulip.

Acknowledging the fact that security surveillance is an important aspect for SMEs in India, Jonathan Huberman, President, Iomega also said, “The partnership looks to provide India's first video surveillance services based on cloud technology to the SMEs," Solutions would also be launched globally, with MindTree as the software partner.  Iomega would leverage Tulip's broadband network users -- 2,400 businesses -- to expand its footprint.

Public cloud infrastructure for SMBs in India

Go IP Global Services announced a Public Cloud Infrastructure for Indian SMEs. The cloud will be built in technology partnership with Dell. The Cloud Services to be offered by Go IP will be based on Dell’s 11th Generation PowerEdge Blade Servers, Dell Force 10 Switches and Dell EqualLogic and Dell Compellent Storage Arrays, all deployed in a High Availability Mode. In the first phase, the services will be rolled out in the 1st quarter of 2012 from Go IP’s Global Managed Services Centre at Noida with more centers coming up in the near future.

Online is a multi billion opportunity for Indian SMEs

According to VeriSign, over five million small and medium enterprises (SMEs) go online in the next three to five years, which holds a potential of $5 billion business in India.

"There is a huge opportunity for starting online ventures in the SME space. Only 5 lakh SME units have an online presence in the country at present," said Kartik Taneja, head of India and SAARC business & government relations. There are only 2 million domain names in the country, which is less than 2% of the total net users at present.


Belkin getting bullish on Indian market outreach

Considering the fact of growing penetration of IT in smaller towns and cities, technology and digital lifestyle brand Belkin is all set to strengthen it’s Indian footprint. The company has recently launched a 24x7 technical support lifeline in Hindi language.

“To provide better after-sales service to our customers, we have launched a 24x7 technical support helpline in Hindi. The initiative makes us the first IT company in India to provide this service in the local language,” said Mohit Anand, managing director –India.

IBM attracts SMEs with zero percent financing scheme

World’s technology leader IBM announced the launch of a zero percentage financing scheme for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in India on its software products.

The company said in a press release that credit-qualified businesses can now acquire this interest-free financing in India through IBM Global Financing, the company’s lending and leasing organization.

Google brings free website service for SMEs

As a landmark step towards enabling Indian SMEs with an effective online presence, Google India has launched a campaign called 'India Get Your Business Online’. Under this offering Google will be providing free websites to the SMEs in the country. The offering would also free Internet domain, e-mail and a host of other services to the Indian SMEs.
